THE CHALLENGE
This presented a significant challenge and the website contained thousands of product listings and Polish is not an easy language to translate to. The client wanted to ensure not only that the transitions are accurate, but also culturally appropriate for the Polish audience. The content needed to be adapted to fit the local market, taking into account the unique cultural nuances and preferences of Polish consumers.
THE SOLUTION
- Publitrad’s collaborative environment uses a smart API connector to pull all the content from their e-commerce platform and push it directly to our CAT tool.
- We used our custom neural machine translation system and a team of polish linguists with extensive experience translating and localizing e-commerce content.
- The MT helped us streamline the translation process and ensure consistency and accuracy across all content, while the Polish linguists worked closely with the e-commerce company to understand their specific preferences.
- We migrated hundreds of translation units to our innovative CAT tool and we consolidated them into content type translation memories that can be applied to various projects.
- All glossary entries were migrated to our cloud-based online solution for easy management and use.
- Once translations complete, we worked with the client to localize the content, which meant changing product descriptions, adjusting imagery and altering certain design elements.
- We also conducted a thorough quality control check to ensure that the translations were accurate and met the requirements. This involved reviewing materials against the original content and ensuring everything was error-free.
THE RESULT
- More than 90% of pre- and post- processing of product description -related content is now automated.

With the original content translated and localized for the Polish market within the agreed timeframe and budget, we impressed our client with our ability for adaptation and respecting a tight deadline. The successful completion of the project led to a long-term partnership between the e-commerce retailer and Publitrad. We now provide regular translation and localization services for the company and its subsidiaries, helping them reach a wider global audience and increase their sales in new markets.
